Providing Parents with a Plan for Success
Providing Parents with a Plan for Success
Once your child is diagnosed with autism, the shock of “now what do we do,” leaves you feeling depleted and isolated. Sadness is overwhelming and life is chaotic with the: endless appointments, lifestyle changes with diet, carefully balancing medications, finding alternative treatments, and therapies that work, not to mention navigating social activities and school. You feel so alone. You wonder if your child’s future will ever be bright again. You question if you’re equipped for this task.
Take a deep breath. You already have what it takes to embark on this parenting journey. Together we’ll shed light on the goals, aspirations and dreams you have for your child. Implementing new skills and resources will allow you to breathe life into your parenting once again.
When you gift yourself support from an experienced guide, you will gain skills and tools to calm the chaos that accompanies a diagnosis. A structured practical plan provides a roadmap to connect with your child.
Every parent wants to experience that special love that only happens between a parent and a child. Autism threatens that relationship. Using proven strategies you will be able to connect again and make happy memories.
I’m Susie Goodwin and I’m here to help! As a former elementary educator and Love and Logic facilitator, I’ve taught hundreds of parents the skills needed to parent with confidence and joy. As the mother of an autistic child, the resources I had were no longer adequate and I had to learn new skills to navigate that journey.
I know the heartbreak and chaos of a behavioral diagnosis because I’ve been there myself. I also know that things can be different; my son is in college now and living his life to the fullest.
As a parent coach I get to share our success with you and help you build your roadmap. I’d like to see you experience renewed hope and happiness and begin making joyful memories with your family.
“Susie gave us the skills and tools to have a more consistent, calm, and fun relationship with our kids. We have the ability to confidently set loving boundaries that leaves our children’s autonomy and dignity intact. This has significantly reduced our stress and upset.”
—Amy Rogge, Occupational Therapist and Owner of Rogge & Associates
“We were out of ideas and not parenting the way we wanted. Susie sheds light on the loving parents we truly are. Together we put a plan in place that worked for our family. We are now happy, more confident, and connected with our children.”
—Jeannie Sajonas, parent to two boys
